Similar Species:
  • C. instrutana (Clemens, 1865), currently treated as a synonym of Celypha cespitana, a species currently treated as extralimital to NA in Gilligan et al. (2020), if elevated to full species, could become synonymized with O. baccatana with instrutana having priority. This synonymy appears to be supported by DNA barcode.
