Taxonomic Notes: Argyroploce externa (Eversmann, 1844) was first recognized within the North American fauna north of Mexico under its synonym, 2831.1 A. dalecarliana, by Jalava and Miller (1998). This synonymy was made by Nedoshivina (2007), Nota Lepidopterologica 30 (1): 100.
