Distribution: MN to CT, south to MS and NC.
Lectotype (designated by Heinrich 1923): New Brighton, Beaver Co., PA (Wright & Gilligan 2017).
Description/
Field Marks:
FWL: 4.9-6.8 - Wright & Gilligan, 2017); "pretornal brown patch is characteristically separated from the FW inner margin" - Chuck Sexton (pers. comm., 5/2022))
Similar Species:
  • Pelochrista canana (Walsingham, 1879) - FWL: 5.6-9.6 (Wright & Gilligan 2017); ""pretornal brown patch" is connected to the inner FW margin" - Chuck Sexton (pers. comm., 5/2022))
