Holotype: Mercedes,Hidalgo Co., TX.
Description/
Field Marks:
Rindge, 1966: 224; pl. 25, figs. 3, 4.
Genitalia: Rindge, 1966: 234, fig. 30; 239, fig. 50.
Similar Species:
  • Iridopsis perfectaria (McDunnough, 1940) typically lacks the dark shading of the ground color.
  • Iridopsis defectaria (Guenée, [1858]) is found north of LRGV.
  • Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.)
