Synonymy: • Byssodes paradoxata Guenée, [1858] • Phalaena argentata of authors not Drury, 1773 • Phrygionis argenteostriata Holland, 1903 • Byssodes cerussaria Grote, 1882 • Phrygionis dominica Prout, 1933 • Phrygionis fratercula Warren, 1906 • Phrygionis gemmea Prout, 1933 • Byssodes obrussata Grote, 1882 • Phrygionis sororcula Warren, 1906 Taxonomic Notes: Phrygionis paradoxata (Guenée, [1858]) includes as a synonym Phrygionis argentata of authors (not Drury, 1773). This species was teated as a subspecies of P. incolorata Prout, 1910 by Scoble (1994) but subsequently Scoble (1995) realized that paradoxata is the older name and takes precedent.
