Taxonomic Notes: Phrygionis paradoxata (Guenée, [1858]) includes as a synonym Phrygionis argentata of authors (not Drury, 1773). This species was teated as a subspecies of P. incolorata Prout, 1910 by Scoble (1994) but subsequently Scoble (1995) realized that paradoxata is the older name and takes precedent.
