Synonymy: nigranum (Heinrich, 1923) (Exartema) - MONA 1983: 2800; TL: "Cincinnati, Ohio." ornatana (Kearfott, 1910) (Cymolomia) nom. nud. Host Plants: Acer saccharum (sugar maple), Carya sp. (hickory) (Miller 1979). Shropshire & Tallamy (2025) [accessed 6xii2025]: Host familiy: Juglandaceae Malvaceae[Tiliaceae] Sapindaceae[Aceraceae].  Host genera: Acer Carya Tilia. Genitalia: See Miller (1979) and Gilligan et al. (2008).
