Synonymy: chalcedonia (Hübner, [1808]) (Noctua) - MONA 1983: 9679 arna (Guenée, 1852) (Celaena) expuncta (Walker, 1857) (Celaena) irresoluta (Walker, 1857) (Celaena) tracta (Grote, 1874) (Hadena) vincta (Walker, 1857) (Miana) Host Plants: Shropshire & Tallamy (2025) [accessed 6xii2025]: Host familiy: Asteraceae Convolvulaceae Phrymaceae[Scrophulariaceae] Plantaginaceae[Scrophulariaceae] Poaceae Sapindaceae[Aceraceae] Scrophulariaceae Chaetophoraceae[Protococcaceae][Algae].  Host genera: Acer Ipomoea Keckiella Mimulus Penstemon Saccharum Scrophularia Taraxacum Protococcus[Algae]. Similar  : Species 932227 Elaphria agrotina: tends to have a thin dark pm. line or shade edged outwardly by yellow which approaches the white color of chalcedonia.
