Distribution: FL north to MA. Type locality: Florida. Larva and Host Plants: Borer in Sagittaria Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: • Sphida anoa Dyar, 1913 Taxonomic Notes: Bellura anoa (Dyar, 1913) is elevated from a subspecies of 9525 Bellura obliqua in Lafontaine & Schmidt (2010), ZooKeys, 40: 151.
