Larva and Host Plants: Host familiy: Athyriaceae[Dryopteridaceae] Diplaziopsidaceae[Dryopteridaceae] Rosaceae.  Host genera: Athyrium Homalosorus[=Diplazium] Rosa Rubus.  Host extended: miner (Braun 1972); leaves (Robinson et al 2002).  (Kimberley & Douglas 2025) Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. Synonymy: aenea (Frey & Boll, 1873) (Tischeria) - MONA 1983: 149 Taxonomic Notes: Coptotriche aenea: Formerly placed in the genus Tischeria.
