Larva and Host Plants: Host familiy: Asteraceae.  Host genera: Ambrosia Helianthus.  Host extended: blotch miner (Braun 1972); blotch miners (Eiseman 2020).  (Kimberley & Douglas 2025) Genitalia: See Stonis et al. (2020). Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: heliopsisella (Chambers, 1875) (Tischeria) - MONA 1983: 159 nolckenii (Frey & Boll, 1876) (Tischeria) Taxonomic Notes: Astrotischeria heliopsisella: Formerly placed in the genus Tischeria.
