Larva and Host Plants: Host familiy: Agavaceae.  Host genera: Yucca.  Host extended: fruit stalks (Davis 1967).  (Kimberley & Douglas 2025) Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: quinquepunctella (Chambers, 1875) (Hyponomeuta) - MONA 1983: 200; Lectotype: Bosque Co., TX. Note: Lectotype designated by Davis (1967). paradoxica Chambers, 1878 (Prodoxus); Lectotype: "Nine miles north of Colorado Springs and thence 5 miles east of the mountains, Colorado".
