Larva and Host Plants: Host familiy: Fagaceae.  Host genera: Quercus.  Host extended: tentiform miner (Braun 1908) & (Eiseman 2020).  (Kimberley & Douglas 2025) Similar Species: 33a0353 Phyllonorycter quercialbella BOLD:ADE8887 - nr. argentifimbriella Pinned specimens of related species. Synonymy: argentifimbriella (Clemens, 1859) (Lithocolletis) - MONA 1983: 733 fuscocostella (Chambers, 1875) (Lithocolletis) longestriata (Frey & Boll, 1873) (Lithocolletis); TL: Cambridge, Middlesex Co., MA. Note: new synonym on Braun (1908). longirostrata; (Dyar, 1903) (Lithocolletis) missp.; TL: (no type). longistriata; (Braun, 1908) (Lithocolletis) missp.; TL: (no type). Note: possibly an emendation; this is the spelling used for the type at the MCZ.
