Larva and Host Plants: Host familiy: Fagaceae.  Host genera: Quercus.  Host extended: probably oak (Hodges 1974); .  (Kimberley & Douglas 2025) Description/ Field Marks: Forewing deep orange, hind wing medium gray. Similar Species: 59a0163 Himmacia huachucella: forewing grayish red when fresh, hind wing medium gray. 59a0165 Himmacia diligenda: forewing deep orange, hind wing pale yellowish-white. Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: stratia Hodges, 1974 (Himmacia) - MONA 1983: 949; TL: Madera Canyon 5600', Santa Rita Mts., Santa Cruz Co., AZ.
