Larva and Host Plants: Host familiy: Cynodon Zea.  Host genera: Cynodon Zea.  Host extended: Cynodon, Zea.  (Kimberley & Douglas 2025) Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: grammivora Walker, 1856 (Dargida) - MONA 1983: [NEW]; TL: Venezuela. graminivora Hampson, 1905 (Dargida) emend. - MONA 1983: [10429]; TL: (no type). Taxonomic Notes: Dargida grammivora Walker, 1856 may be extralimital north of Mexico. USNM and BOLD specimens from Arizona identified as "grammivora" apparently represent as undescribed species.
