Distribution: Canada: BC, YT. Larva and Host Plants: Vaccinium vitis-idaea. (see references) Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: idaeella Hofmann, 1869; TL: Germany, Bodenvöhr, Upper Palatinate. Taxonomic Notes: Coleophora idaeella Hofmann, 1869 is now recognized within the North American fauna; DNA barcoded specimens from British Columbia (Klaassen, et al. 2025) and the Yukon (BOLD). Originally described as a variety of C. viminetella Zeller, 1949.
