Synonymy: griphalis (Hulst, 1886) (Aglossa) emend. - MONA 1983: 5541 angustipennis (Warren, 1891) (Ugra) centralis Dyar, 1910 (Acallis); TL: Williams, AZ. fernaldi Ragonot, 1891 (Acallis) gripalis; (Hulst, 1886) (Aglossa) orig. missp. Taxonomic Notes: Acallis griphalis (Hulst, 1886) includes as a synonyms Acallis gripalis (Hulst, 1886) (orig. missp.) (Hulst 1886:xxiv) and Accalis centralis in Solis et al. (2013). The name "griphalis" was erroneously treated as a misspelling in Hodges et al. (1983).
