Larva and Host Plants: Host familiy: Anacardiaceae Betulaceae Fabaceae Fagaceae Juglandaceae Malvaceae[Tiliaceae] Myricaceae Salicaceae S..  Host genera: Acer Carya Fagus Gleditsia Morella Ostrya Populus Quercus Rhus Salix Tilia Ulmus.  Host extended: polyphagous on trees & shrubs (Forbes 1923).  (Kimberley & Douglas 2025) Similar Species: Identifications of Pococera based on DNA should be considered tentative pending revision of this genus. DNA barcode currently does not appear to be able to separate P. asperatella from similar species. P. asperatella may be a complex containing undescribed species. . Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: asperatella (Clemens, 1860) (Lanthaphe) - MONA 1983: 5606
