  • Taxonomic Notes: Speranza exonerata Ferguson, 2008, inferred revived combination, is a member of the brunneata group (Ferguson) which includes Speranza brunneata (Thunberg, 1784), rev. comb. (Õunap et al. 2024). The genus Speranza, rev. stat. (Õunap et al. 2024), was previously listed as a synonym of Macaria in Schmidt & McGuinness (in Pohl & Nanz (eds.) 2023) following the treatment in Sihvonen & Skou (2015).
