Taxonomic Notes: Acronicta hamamelis (Guenée, 1852) includes as a synonym Acronicta subochrea (Grote, 1874) [9248] in Forbes (1954), overlooked syn. in the Hodges 1983 checklist, corrected by Rings et al. (1992), ZooKeys, 40: 136.
