Larva and Host Plants: Sweet fern (Comptonia peregrina). -- Host familiy: Myricaceae.  Host genera: Comptonia.  Notes: leaf miner genus (Davis & Deschka 2001); tentiform mines (Eiseman 2020).  (Shropshire & Douglas 2025) Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: comptoniella (Darlington, 1949) (Lithocolletis) - MONA 1983: 745; TL: New Lisbon, NJ.
