Taxonomic Notes: Plutella hyperboreella Strand, 1902 is now recognized within the North American fauna north of Mexico, Zootaxa, 3749(1): 21. Baraniak (2007) places this species in the genus Plutelloptera, n. gen., a treatment apparently not widely accepted and ignored by subsequent authors.
