Host familiy: Cupressaceae Elaeagnaceae Pinaceae Taxaceae Taxodiaceae. Host genera: Abies Cedrus Chamaecyparis Cryptomeria Elaeagnus Juniperus Larix Picea Pinus Tsuga Taxus. Notes: polyphagous on conifers, deciduous tree, shrubs (Freeman 1958). (Shropshire & Douglas 2025)

Archips oporana (Linnaeus, 1758) was added to Hodges et al. (1983) (Checklist) based on specimens collected in Vancouver, BC and Font Hill, ON (Freeman 1958:16). Those specimens cannot be found and are considered unconfirmed, however, the species appears to persist in Ontario with recent DNA tested specimens at BOLD and sightings posted on iNaturalist. |
