Larva and Host Plants: Host familiy: Euphorbiaceae Myrsinaceae.  Host genera: Ardisia Euphorbia[=Chamaesyce] Hippomane.  (Kimberley & Douglas 2025) Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: nesiotes Walsingham, 1897 (Episimus) - MONA 1983: [NEW] nesoites; [various], [no date] (Episimus) missp.; TL: (no type). Taxonomic Notes: Episimus nesiotes Walsingham, 1897 is now recognized among the North American fauna north of Mexico.
