Distribution: USA: ME; Canada: NB, NL, QC, Larva and Host Plants: Host familiy: Rosaceae.  Host genera: Spiraea.  Host extended: flowers & leaves (Robinson et al 2002).  (Kimberley & Douglas 2025) Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: spiraeae (McDunnough, 1938) (Polychrosis) - MONA 1983: 2729; TL: Canada. "Nova Scotia, Petite River". bicinctana of authors; (not Duponchel, 1843) (Grapholitha) misappl. Taxonomic Notes: Lobesia spiraeae (McDunnough, 1938), described as a subspecies of [2729] Lobesia bicinctana (Duponchel, 1843), now regarded as strictly Palearctic, is raised to full species in Gilligan et al. (2020), Insects, 11(9), 594: 1-59.
