Distribution: USA: MD, VA. Asia. Larva and Host Plants: Host familiy: Celastraceae Rosaceae.  Host genera: Celastrus Euonymus Prunus.  (Kimberley & Douglas 2025) Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: sinica Moore, 1877 (Pryeria) - MONA 1983: [NEW] pryeri Jordan, 1907 (Pryeria) Taxonomic Notes: Pryeria sinica Moore, 1877 is now recognized within the North American fauna. First introduced from Asia to MD and VA in 2001.
