Larva and Host Plants: Host familiy: Lamiaceae.  Host genera: Trichostema.  Notes: cause gall-like growth in stems or roots (Powell & Opler 2009).  (Shropshire & Douglas 2025) Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. Synonymy: enchrysa Hodges, 1962 (Eteobalea) - MONA 1983: 1511 Taxonomic Notes: Eteobalea enchrysa Hodges, 1962, n. comb. in Sinev (2002), was formerly placed in the genus Stagmatophora.
