Taxonomic Notes: Symmetrischema pallidochrella (Chambers, 1872) includes as synonyms Symmetrischema lavernella (Chambers, 1874) and Symmetrischema physalivorella (Chambers, 1875), a former synoym of lavernella, (Lee & Landry in Pohl & Nanz (eds.) 2023).
