Larva and Host Plants: Host familiy: Poaceae.  Host genera: Agrostis Bromus Elymus[=Hystrix] Oryzopsis[unresolved] Phleum Piptatherum Poa Triticum.  Host extended: miners on leaves of grass (Braun 1948).  (Kimberley & Douglas 2025) Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. Synonymy: illectella (Clemens, 1860) (Cosmiotes) - MONA 1983: 1129 albapalpella Chambers, 1881 (Elachista) cristatella Chambers, 1876 (Elachista) praematurella Clemens, 1860 (Elachista) Taxonomic Notes: Elachista illectella (Clemens, 1860), n. comb., was previously in the genus Cosmiotes, Kaila (1999), Systematic Entomology 24: 139-169.
