Larva and Host Plants: Host familiy: Betulaceae Myricaceae Ulmaceae.  Host genera: Alnus Betula Comptonia Myrica[unresolved] Ulmus.  Notes: spatulate leaf cases (Eiseman 2020); leaves (Falkovitsh 2006).  (Shropshire & Douglas 2025) Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: comptoniella (McDunnough, 1926) (Haploptilia) - MONA 1983: 1300 betulivora McDunnough, 1946 (Coleophora) comptinila; Poole, 1996 (Coleophora) missp.; TL: (no type).
