Larva and Host Plants: Host familiy: Onagraceae.  Host genera: Chamaenerion.  (Shropshire & Douglas 2025) Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. Synonymy: sturnipennella (Treitschke, 1833) (Ornix) - MONA 1983: [NEW] modestella (Eversmann, 1844) (Oecophora) nodicolella Fuchs, 1902 (Mompha) permutatella Herrich-Schäffer, [1854] (Mompha) Taxonomic Notes: Mompha sturnipennella (Treitschke, 1833) includes as a synonym 1448.1 Mompha nodicolella Fuchs, 1902, a species previously listed as having been added to the North American fauna north of Mexico.
