Larva and Host Plants: Host familiy: Rhamnaceae.  Host genera: Colubrina Gouania.  (Shropshire & Douglas 2025) Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: fimbriauralis (Guenée, 1854) (Astura) - MONA 1983: [NEW] Taxonomic Notes: Asturodes fimbriauralis (Guenée, 1854) is now recognized within the North American fauna north of Mexico. This species was added to the list and subsequently removed. It is added back with verified records from Florida by Jim Troubridge and Jim Vargo.
