Larva and Host Plants: Host familiy: Fagaceae.  Host genera: Quercus.  (Kimberley & Douglas 2025) Description/ Field Marks: Sexually dimorphic; males are darker with scalloping of the outer wing margins much reduced. Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: chiridota Grote, 1864 (Lacosoma) - MONA 1983: 7659
