Larva and Host Plants: Host familiy: Betulaceae Ericaceae Fagaceae Malvaceae[Tiliaceae] Rosaceae Salicaceae.  Host genera: Betula Ostrya Physocarpus Quercus Salix Tilia Vaccinium.  Host extended: other woody plants (Wagner 2005).  (Kimberley & Douglas 2025) Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. Synonymy: pistasciaria (Guenée, [1858]) (Nemoria) - MONA 1983: 7084 ssp. a. pistasciaria (Guenée, [1858]) (Nemoria)  dyarii (Hulst, 1900) (Nemoria)  euchloraria (Guenée, [1858]) (Iodis)  gratata (Packard, 1876) (Nemoria)  subcroceata (Walker, 1862) (Nemoria)  superata Walker, 1866 (Thalera) ssp. b. insecutata (Walker, [1863]) (Acidalia)  auranticolorata (Strecker, 1899) (Nemoria) Taxonomic Notes: Thalera pistasciaria (Guenée, [1858]) was formerly in the genus Hethemia, new generic synonymy in Ban et al. (2018).
