Larva and Host Plants: Host familiy: Ericaceae.  Host genera: Arctostaphylos Chamaedaphne Vaccinium.  (Kimberley & Douglas 2025) Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: truncataria (Walker, 1862) (Fidonia) - MONA 1983: 6321 Taxonomic Notes: Macaria truncataria (Walker, 1862), was formerly in the genus Epelis, new generic synonymy in Sihvonen & Skou (2015).
