Distribution: Southern KS south to southern TX and west to southwestern TX - Miller et al. (2021) Larva and Host Plants: Host familiy: Sapindaceae.  Host genera: Sapindus Ungnadia.  (Shropshire & Douglas 2025) Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: packardii (Morrison, 1875) (Edema) - MONA 1983: 7949; TL: Waco, Bosque Co., TX. Taxonomic Notes: Elasmia packardii (Morrison, 1875), n. comb., was formerly placed in the genus Hippia, Zookeys, 149: 51-67.
