Distribution: Suggested by Heppner as a species straying into, but not breeding in, Florida. Larva and Host Plants: Host familiy: Detritophagous.  Host genera: Detritophagous[plant].  Host extended: leaf litter (Heppner 2007), Detritophagous on dead leaves (Rings et al 1992).  (Kimberley & Douglas 2025) Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. Synonymy: forbesii (French, 1894) (Pseudaglossa) - MONA 1983: [NEW] forbesi Franclemont & Todd, 1983 (Idia) emend. - MONA 1983: [8327]; TL: (no type). merricki (Smith, 1905) (Epizeuxis)
