Larva and Host Plants: Host familiy: Asteraceae Betulaceae Ericaceae Fabaceae Fagaceae Myricaceae Pinaceae Plantaginaceae Rosaceae Salicaceae.  Host genera: Alnus Betula Comptonia Corylus Eubotrys Gaillardia Kalmia Larix Lespedeza Morella Picea Pinus Plantago Populus Prunus Rubus Quercus Salix Spiraea Vaccinium.  Notes: polyphagous on trees & shrubs (Poole 1989); general on low shrubs (Crabo et al 2014); polyphagous (Schmidt & Anweiler 2020).  (Shropshire & Douglas 2025) Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species.
