Larva and Host Plants: Host familiy: Asteraceae Fabaceae Plantaginaceae Polygonaceae Scrophulariaceae Chrysomelidae[Insecta].  Host genera: Hieracium Medicago Plantago Polygonum[unresolved] Rumex Sonchus Taraxacum Verbascum Xanthogaleruca[Insecta].  Notes: generalist on many kinds of herbaceous vegetation (Crabo et al 2014).  (Shropshire & Douglas 2025) Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. Synonymy: montana Bremer, 1861 (Caradrina) extralim. - MONA 1983: [NEW] ssp. a. extima Walker, 1865 (Caradrina) - MONA 1983: [9656]  civica Grote, 1883 (Caradrina) Taxonomic Notes: Caradrina montana: Includes as a synonym Caradrina extima [9656]. Formerly placed in the genus Platyperigea.
