Larva and Host Plants: Host familiy: Fagaceae Detritophagous.  Host genera: Quercus Detritophagous[plant].  Notes: Detritophagous, Quercus dry leaves (Fagaceae) (Heppner 2007), Dead leaves, acorns (Neck 1976a).  (Shropshire & Douglas 2025) Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. Synonymy: tarda (Guenée, 1852) (Caradrina) - MONA 1983: 9650 prima (Smith, 1891) (Anorthodes) Taxonomic Notes: Athetis tarda: Formerly placed in the genus Anorthodes.
