Larva and Host Plants: Host familiy: Iridaceae.  Host genera: Iris.  Notes: Iris seed capsules (Powell 2004).  (Shropshire & Douglas 2025) Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. Synonymy: pacifica (Smith, 1899) (Hydroecia) - MONA 1983: [NEW] Taxonomic Notes: Amphipoea pacifica: Elevated from a subspecies of 9457 - Amphipoea americana.
