Larva and Host Plants: Host familiy: Betulaceae Caprifoliaceae Ericaceae Fumariaceae Grossulariaceae Salicaceae Rosaceae.  Host genera: Dicentra Ribes Vaccinium.  Notes: polyphagous on deciduous shrubs (Poole 1989); generalist on many kinds of hardwoods (Crabo et al 2014).  (Shropshire & Douglas 2025) Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. Synonymy: contadina (Smith, 1894) (Polia) - MONA 1983: 9977 ssp. a. contadina (Smith, 1894) (Polia) ssp. b. albertae McDunnough, 1935 (Platypolia)
