Synonymy: regnatrix (Grote, 1863) (Philochrysa) - MONA 1983: [NEW]; TL: Pennsylvania. timais of authors; (not Cramer, [1780]) (Phalaena) misappl. - MONA 1983: [10640] Taxonomic Notes: Xanthopastis regnatrix (Grote, 1863), a name listed by Kimball (1965) and later as a synonym of Xanthopastis timais (Cramer ([1780]) in Hodges et al. (1983) (Checklist), is again recognized as regnatrix by Lafontaine & Schmidt (2011), a member of a species complex involving at least six species.
