Larva and Host Plants: Host familiy: Poaceae .  Host genera: Triticum.  Host extended: specialist on grasses (Crabo et al 2014); adults occur in native prairie habitats (Lafontaine 2004)....  (Kimberley & Douglas 2025) Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. Synonymy: tepperi (Smith, 1888) (Agrotis) - MONA 1983: 10910 atricincta (Smith, 1895) (Noctua) Taxonomic Notes: Anicla tepperi: Formerly placed in the genus Euagrotis.
