Larva and Host Plants: Host familiy: Ericaceae Myricaceae.  Host genera: Andromeda Chamaedaphne[=Cassandra] Rhododendron[=Ledum] Myrica[unresolved] Vaccinium.  Notes: Andromeda Ledum - moved from Coenophila subrosea "of authors not" (Stephens).  (Shropshire & Douglas 2025) Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: opacifrons (Grote, 1878) (Agrotis) - MONA 1983: [NEW] decipiens (Warnecke, 1924) (Agrotis) furushonis (Matsumura, 1925) (Aplectoides) kieferi (Rebel, 1912) (Agrotis) latefasciata (Hoyningen-Huene, 1901) ([unknown]) rubrifera (Warnecke, 1931) (Agrotis) subcaerulea (Staudinger, 1871) (Agrotis) subrosea of authors; (not Stephens, 1829) (Graphiphora) misappl. - MONA 1983: [10988] Taxonomic Notes: Coenophila opacifrons: Coenophila subrosea [10988] is extralimital. Formerly placed in the genus Eugraphe.
