Larva and Host Plants: Host familiy: Grossulariaceae Rosaceae Vitaceae.  Host genera: Amelanchier Purshia Ribes Vitis.  Notes: polyphagous on deciduous trees (Poole 1989); hardwoods (Crabo et al 2014).  (Shropshire & Douglas 2025) Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. Synonymy: nefascia (Smith, 1908) (Rhynchagrotis) emend. - MONA 1983: 11024; TL: (no type). crumbi Franclemont, 1955 (Abagrotis) - MONA 1983: [11031] negascia; (Smith, 1908) (Rhynchagrotis) orig. missp.; TL: (no type). Taxonomic Notes: Abagrotis nefascia: Includes as a synonym Abagrotis crumbi [11031].
