Nova Scotia to southern Alberta, south to northern Florida and eastern Texas. |
Seasonality and Size: |
Two generations from New York southward. FWL ~ 17-25 mm. |
Larva and Host Plants: |
Host plants include Alnus, Castanea and Salix. (see references) -- Host familiy: Anacardiaceae Betulaceae Adoxaceae[Caprifoliaceae] Fagaceae Lauraceae Rosaceae Salicaceae Sapindaceae. Host genera: Acer Alnus Betula Castanea Lindera Ostrya Prunus Rhus Salix Sambucus. Notes: foliage (Wagner et al 2001). (Shropshire & Douglas 2025)
