Distribution: USA: AZ, NM - Miller et al. (2021) Larva and Host Plants: Host familiy: Fabaceae.  Host genera: Desmodium Robinia.  (Shropshire & Douglas 2025) Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: melanopa Barnes, 1901 (Dasylophia) - MONA 1983: [NEW]; TL: Huachuca Mountains, AZ. seriata of authors; (not Druce, 1887) (Oedemasia) misappl. - MONA 1983: [7959] Taxonomic Notes: Dasylophia melanopa Barnes, 1901, rev. stat. in Miller et al. (2021), MONA Fascicle 22.1B:229, was formerly treated as D. seriata (Druce, 1887), now considered extralimital north of Mexico.
